Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using FinPal, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

Description of service

FinPal is a personal finance planning and tracking tool. It allows you to track expenses, create budgets, set savings goals, and split costs with others. FinPal is not a financial institution, payment processor, or financial advisor.

• FinPal does not access, hold, or transfer real money
• FinPal does not connect to bank accounts or financial institutions
• FinPal does not provide financial, investment, or tax advice
• All data entered into FinPal is self-reported by users

User accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

You may not create accounts for the purpose of abusing, harassing, or impersonating other users.

User responsibilities

When using FinPal, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating shared expenses and budgets
• Respect other members of your Shared Spaces and Trips
• Not use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not attempt to access, tamper with, or exploit the app's systems or other users' data
• Not upload harmful, offensive, or illegal content through messages or notes

Shared Spaces and Trips

When you join a Shared Space or Trip, your profile information (display name, avatar) and any expenses, budgets, or messages you contribute become visible to other members of that Space or Trip.

If you leave a Space or Trip, or delete your account, expenses and messages you contributed may be retained for the remaining members. You can request complete data deletion by contacting us.

Limitation of liability

FinPal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We are not liable for:

• Financial decisions you make based on information tracked in the app
• Disputes between users regarding shared expenses or settlements
• Loss of data due to device failure, app uninstallation, or service interruptions
• Inaccurate exchange rates or OCR results
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app

Intellectual property

FinPal, including its design, code, branding, and content, is the intellectual property of Infinode. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without prior written consent.

Content you create within the app (expenses, notes, messages) remains yours. By using the shared features, you grant FinPal a limited license to store and display this content to authorized members of your Spaces and Trips.

Account termination

You may delete your account at any time through finpal.infinode.tech/delete-me. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
